Notifications

Too many pings? They drain your energy, break your focus, and steal your time. Every notification pulls you off track—and it takes several minutes to get back in the zone. That scattered, overwhelmed feeling? It’s not you—it’s the constant interruptions.

Let’s fix that.

1. Turn off anything you don’t really need.

  • If it’s not urgent, it shouldn’t interrupt you.

  • Stick to essentials—texts, calendar reminders, and alerts from close contacts.

2. Watch out for sneaky badge notifications.

  • Even without a ping, those little red numbers pull at your attention.

  • Turn off badges for things that aren’t essential to you—like “likes,” views, or promotions, etc.

  • Keep badges only where they add value—like key messages or calendar events.

3. Set your own schedule—and stick to it.

  • Pick times to check emails, social apps, and messages—like morning, lunch, and evening.

  • Use alarms or reminders to keep yourself on track. Once your time is up, log out until the next check-in.

4. Handle messages thoughtfully.

  • Respond to emails, texts, and DMs during your check-in windows.

  • If group chats get noisy, try muting them temporarily—you can always catch up later when it works for you.

5. Set boundaries—and stick to them.

  • Let people know you might not respond right away, but you’ll get back to them soon.

  • Most people will understand.

Less noise. Less clutter. More focus.
